Once upon a time – RSH Storytelling courses start
Last Tuesday saw our very first In Focus: Storytelling using Media training session, run by Media Education. The session pictured was held in Edinburgh, with other sessions about to launch in Aberdeen and Glasgow.
It's a fantastic opportunity to get your hands on some film-making kit and learn the principles behind using the equipment, and setting out your story on film in an interesting and effective way. Designed for those with little or no experience the full day workshop gives everyone a chance to be hands-on with filming, sound recording and also to understand the principles of editing.

Wednesday this week (19th October) saw RSH in Glasgow with trainer Pam Judson to deliver a more in depth session, In Focus: Applying to Trusts and Foundations here we saw participants from across the built and environmental heritage environments learn more about the types of trusts and foundations from which they might be seeking funding. This detail is set within the current funding landscape in Scotland - and gets participants to consider their plans and projects from both an applicant and a funder's view point.

Planning to Progress – Argyll & Bute
Resourcing Scotland's Heritage were lucky enough to visit Oban on a sparkling sunny Autumn day for Planning to Progress training. The mood of the room matched the weather, with engaged participants learning how to pitch their project to prospective funders and, most importantly, to have a strong, strategic, fundraising strategy - so they can best direct their energies and resources.
