Outer Hebrides to benefit from four days of heritage fundraising training
We will be spending four days on the Outer Hebrides next month in a bid to promote financial sustainability among the islands’ heritage sector.
Since we launched in 2014, Resourcing Scotland's Heritage (RSH) has been delivering a programme of accessible training courses, inspirational expert led events and networking opportunities throughout Scotland. In September, RSH will deliver a four day programme on Stornoway, Isle of Lewis and Benbecula taking the training off the mainland and making it accessible to more remote communities. The move follows a successful two day visit to Orkney last year.

Summer Training Events
The Resourcing Scotland's Heritage programme has been delivering fundraising training events throughout the summer.
In May events took place in Edinburgh, West Lothian and Glasgow. Pictured here is the group of participants from the 'In Focus: Legacies' session held at the fantastic Glasgow Women's Library.
The programme has also started to deliver a workshop series featuring 2-hour long bite-sized training sessions which have taken place in June and July.

Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage awarded £225,100 of lottery funding to extend for fourth year
We have been awarded over a quarter of a million pounds from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) to extend the Resourcing Scotland's Heritage (RSH) capacity building programme.
The initiative developed to help Scotland’s heritage sector develop long-term financial security will now run for four years instead of three. RSH has been granted a further £225,100 of funding to continue delivering sector specific training until the end of March 2018. The funding announcement comes as RSH reaches its target of delivering training to 450 people within the heritage sector over a year ahead of schedule.

Fundraising Training Across the Country
Resourcing Scotland's Heritage has been travelling the length and breadth of Scotland to deliver fundraising training in recent months.
Events have included our introductory course 'Fundraising: Make it Happen' in Oban (participants pictured) and our strategy course 'Fundraising: Planning to Progress' in Melrose.
We have also delivered a dedicated event for ethnic and cultural minority groups in Glasgow at the African Caribbean Centre and a series of 'In Focus' sessions including 'Crowdfunding for Arts & Heritage Organisations' and 'Introduction to Sponsorship'.
