Inspiring Fundraising

We’ve delivered thirteen Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage events so far!

Starting in July in Fife, we’ve now also been to Kilmarnock, Edinburgh, Inverness, Selkirk, North Berwick, Glasgow, Pitlochry and New Galloway.  Our expert fundraisers Pam Judson and Peter Thierfeldt have put together two comprehensive training courses covering the basics of fundraising from private sources (‘Make it Happen’) and developing a fundraising strategy for your heritage organisation (‘Planning to Progress’).  The demand for the courses has been so high that we’ve even delivered two additional ‘Make it Happen’ courses in Edinburgh and Fife.

Feedback for the programme has been very good and some participants have already been successful in securing funding from a private source, following the training.

Here’s just one of the comments we have received on the training so far:

“Attending the Make it Happen, In Focus: Case for Support and Planning to Progress courses run by Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage have enabled us to become aware of the funding needs of groups of varying sizes, resources and goals. This has increased our confidence and improved our effectiveness, which has already helped us secure funding from a number of sources, ranging from public funding bodies to fundraising events. All of the courses have been very well organised, with a great balance of inspiration, participation and structure. In addition, the atmosphere at every course has been welcoming and friendly. The events themselves have provided wonderful networking opportunities vital for helping us to forge important links. Over the past several months, Resourcing Scotland’s Heritage has been arming organisations across Scotland with tools that will help to make the entire sector more sustainable.”  Dr Jeff Sanders, Project Manager for ‘Dig It! 2015’

More ‘Make it Happen’ courses are now available to book on our Training & Events pages.
