Every Heritage Organisation Needs a Fundraising Strategy

We were in Glasgow last week for the last of the summer's training events - 'Planning to Progress: Glasgow'. We had a fantastic time at the Albany Leaning and Conference Centre with participants from Sustrans, greenspace scotland, DigIt 2015!, Logie Old Graveyard Group, Wildside Scotland and Museums Galleries Scotland.  Thanks to all who took part. Planning to Progress in Aberdeen

We delivered the 'Planning to Progress' course in Aberdeen recently, where seven organisations took up the opportunity to learn about developing an effective fundraising strategy. The day consisted of looking at the various types of funding available and what the most sustainable sources are for each organisation.  The participants also took part in a 'pitch your project' exercise which was a great success.  The participants came from organisations such as Braemar Community Ltd, Aberdeen performing Arts, Aberdeen Inspired and the Garthdee Fields Allotments Association.
